Currently, our premium inserts are precision-engineered exclusively for the Milwaukee® PACKOUT™ 2-Drawer, 3-Drawer, and Compact Organizer systems. We are continually R&D testing new layouts and plan to expand into other storage platforms in the near future.

To maximize your storage density and keep the system ultra-compact, our standard tool inserts are designed to hold the tool with the battery detached, though standard belt clips are fully accommodated unless otherwise noticed in the description.

Most of our layouts feature a large storage area capable of fitting M18 & M12 batteries. Note: Due to severe space constraints, some 1/3-width inserts for the 3-Drawer system do not include adequate storage space for batteries, but we offer dedicated battery-only management inserts to complete your loadout.

Our ecosystem is built entirely around modular freedom. For the 2-Drawer and 3-Drawer systems, we offer layouts in Third, Half, and Full-drawer footprints:

• Third-Width: Perfect for smaller tools (M12™ Multi-tools, impacts, grinders). You can mix and match a Left, Center, and Right insert to build a completely custom drawer.
• Half-Width: Ideal for common pairings like drill/impact combos or mid-sized M18™ tools. You can pair a Left and Right half-insert together perfectly.
• Full-Width: Dedicated to massive, heavy-duty tools like M18™ SDS Rotary Hammers or Hole Hawgs that require the entire drawer footprint for maximum protection.

We strive to support as much of the Milwaukee® lineup as possible, including both brand-new releases and widely used legacy tools. If a tool was discontinued over a decade ago and has low circulation, it likely will not enter our production schedule. However, for heavily relied-upon legacy models, we actively maintain compatible designs.

In the Compact Organizer, our inserts utilize the entire bin space, so factory dividers are removed. For the 2-Drawer and 3-Drawer systems, you can absolutely use factory dividers in any empty space not occupied by our inserts.

Keep in mind that if you use our Half-Width drawer inserts, the central factory divider wall must be removed to accommodate the exact half footprint.

While the external footprint of both PACKOUT™ boxes is the same, the internal drawer dimensions differ significantly. Because of these distinct internal clearances, inserts engineered for the 3-Drawer system are not compatible with the 2-Drawer system, and vice versa.

To guarantee a flawless, zero-friction fit, please ensure you select the correct fitment tag (either 2-Drawer or 3-Drawer) for your specific setup before adding to cart.

Absolutely not. We manufacture every insert using advanced, industrial-grade polymers specifically engineered for extreme thermal stability. They will easily survive the baking heat of a work van or the UV exposure of an out-door job-site in the dead of summer without warping, sagging, or degrading.

(Safety Note: Do not place actively hot soldering irons directly into the plastic; allow them to cool first!)

Being based in Alberta, we know cold. Standard plastics shatter when the temperature drops, but our inserts are forged from specialized materials that retain their impact resistance even in sub-zero climates. You can leave your PACKOUT™ in your truck overnight in -50°C weather, and the inserts will remain structurally sound and crack-free.

Yes. The polymers we use are highly resistant to the daily grime of the trades, including motor oils, heavy greases, standard synthetic lubricants, and common cleaning agents. While highly concentrated industrial acids or severe caustic bases could theoretically degrade the material, standard job site chemicals will easily wipe clean without damaging the insert.

While they don't use a mechanical clipping mechanism, they don't need one. Our inserts are precision-machined to match the exact internal geometry of the PACKOUT™ boxes. Once dropped in, the contouring provides a flawless friction fit, ensuring absolutely zero shifting, rattling, or bouncing during transit down rough gravel roads.

Every single Hella 3D product is engineered, manufactured, inspected, and shipped directly from our production facility in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.

While we generally do not take on single-unit custom designs due to production volume, if you are outfitting a fleet and require a custom run in bulk, our engineering team would be thrilled to work with you.

Since we manage our own advanced manufacturing in-house, turnaround times are incredibly fast. Standard orders are typically produced and handed over to the shipping carrier within 7 business days. Transit times will then vary based on your location. For massive fleet orders, lead times may vary slightly based on current production capacity.

We stand behind the precision and durability of our products.

• Exchanges: If you accidentally ordered the wrong insert, we gladly accept exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Once the item arrives, our Quality Control team will thoroughly inspect it. If it passes inspection (unused condition), we will ship out the correct replacement. If it fails due to job site use or damage, the item cannot be exchanged; you may choose to have it shipped back to you at your cost, or we will dispose of it.
• Refunds: Unused, undamaged inserts can be returned for a full refund (minus original shipping costs) within 30 days. The same strict QC inspection applies upon return.
• Our Mistake / Defect: If we shipped the wrong item, or if an insert fails under normal job site conditions due to a rare manufacturing defect, Hella 3D covers everything. Reach out using the form with a photo of the issue, and we will rush a replacement out to you immediately at zero cost.
